Juicy seared chicken and crisp-tender broccoli tossed in a glossy garlic butter pan sauce — a fast, low-carb, high-protein one-skillet dinner.

Ingredients

  • 13.5 oz boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1.5 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 tsp fine salt

Instructions

  1. Pat the cubed chicken dry and season with the salt. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, then add the chicken in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 3 minutes until golden underneath.
  2. Stir the chicken and cook 3 to 4 minutes more until cooked through and no longer pink in the center, then transfer to a plate.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and a splash of water to the same skillet, cover, and steam 3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
  4. Push the broccoli aside, add the butter and minced garlic, and cook 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Return the chicken, pour in the soy sauce, add the red pepper flakes, and toss 1 minute until everything is coated in the glossy garlic butter.
