Savory-sweet strips of sirloin stir-fried with peppers and onion over fluffy rice — a fast, satisfying weeknight bowl.

Ingredients

  • 11 oz sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 medium bell pepper, sliced
  • 2/3 cup onion, sliced
  • 1.75 cups cooked white rice
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Slice the sirloin thinly against the grain. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high until shimmering, add the beef in a single layer, and sear 2 minutes without stirring until browned, then remove.
  2. Add the bell pepper and onion to the same skillet and stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender and lightly charred.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant, then return the beef and pour in the soy sauce.
  4. Toss 1 minute until glazed, then serve over the warm white rice.
