Crisp-tender pork and peppers in a glossy sweet-and-sour glaze over rice — a fresh homemade take on the takeout favorite.
Ingredients
- 11 oz pork tenderloin, cubed
- 1.5 medium bell pepper, chunked
- 2/3 cup onion, chunked
- 1.5 cups cooked white rice
- 2.5 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Toss the cubed pork with the cornstarch until lightly coated. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high and sear the pork 4 minutes, turning, until browned and cooked through, then remove.
- Add the bell pepper and onion chunks to the pan and stir-fry 3 minutes until crisp-tender and lightly charred.
- Return the pork, add the hoisin sauce with a splash of water, and toss 1 to 2 minutes until the glaze thickens and coats everything glossily.
- Serve over the warm white rice.
