Crisp-tender pork and peppers in a glossy sweet-and-sour glaze over rice — a fresh homemade take on the takeout favorite.

Ingredients

  • 11 oz pork tenderloin, cubed
  • 1.5 medium bell pepper, chunked
  • 2/3 cup onion, chunked
  • 1.5 cups cooked white rice
  • 2.5 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Toss the cubed pork with the cornstarch until lightly coated. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high and sear the pork 4 minutes, turning, until browned and cooked through, then remove.
  2. Add the bell pepper and onion chunks to the pan and stir-fry 3 minutes until crisp-tender and lightly charred.
  3. Return the pork, add the hoisin sauce with a splash of water, and toss 1 to 2 minutes until the glaze thickens and coats everything glossily.
  4. Serve over the warm white rice.
