Transform leftover yoghurt into a flavorful marinade for chicken tacos, topped with fresh veggies and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 piece chicken breast
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 pieces corn tortillas
- 1 piece avocado
- 1 piece tomato
- 1/4 piece onion
- 1 tablespoon cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yoghurt, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken breast to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through.
- While the chicken is cooking, chop the avocado, tomato, onion, and cilantro for the toppings.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it.
- Warm the corn tortillas in the skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the tacos by placing sliced chicken on each tortilla and topping with avocado, tomato, onion, and cilantro.
